Beaches to satisfy every taste, even the most demanding visitor!

Instead of having just one beach, Paleokastritsa has a wide variety of choices when it comes to decide where you would like to stretch your beach towel. For most of them, water taxi boats are needed as well as motor boats and canoes, which are offered for renting, in order to reach them and enjoy them.

The waters are ideal for swimming and water sports, and there are beaches you can visit just by parking the car and walking towards them. There, you can rent sun beds & umbrellas, rent pedal sea bikes and make a tour around the caves and secluded, coast to coast, secret beaches.



The main beach is Agios Spyridon, with turquoise waters and white sand. From Agios Spyridon you can grab a water taxi to more isolated ones.It’s a sandy beach with crystal clear waters and lush greenery. The beach washonoredwith a Blue Flag for its clean waters and organization.



La Grotta, is one of the most famous places to visit. It’s located in a gap surrounded by steep hillsides. There many steps to reach down the sea (about 140 steps) so, the access there can be a problem but, it’s worth climbing the stairs up after having bathed in the sun and dived from uneven cliffs and rocks. Also it has the coldest water of all the areas around, as it’s mostly shadowed.




AgiosPetros is a small beach covered mostly by shingle at the back of Paleokastritsa’s main parking spot, below the famous Monastery of Theotokos.  But, it has less water sports and boat trips facilities. It’s the ideal place for families and couples.



Ampelaki, is another alternative instead of the main beach of Paleokastritsa, although quite smaller, it has sun loungers and umbrella’s to hire. Can be accessed from the main car parking spot, or by walking the road alongside the Appollon hotel. On the right corner of the beach, you will find the Diving center of Barrracuda, making Ampelaki an ideal place for diving.




Platakia is covered by shingle and is the ideal place for the warm days of the summer as the hillsiders at the back of the beach shade the beach from the early hours. It’s also quiet and peaceful and the around area is ideal for fishing.



AgiaTriada is the first beach that you find when you get in Paleokastritsa. It used to be the biggest one but nowadays, the half of the beach iscovered with water.
